with the advent of drones etc. it seems to be going in completely the wrong direction to be building fewer bigger things rather that much more smaller things.
This feels... pretty much certain to never actually happen, right? Like, the US navy presumably does not want a battleship, because if it wanted one it would have commissioned one at some point over the last 80 years. And Trump will only be around another couple years, which isn't enough time to get such a thing designed and built.
