I was hoping this was an April Fool's thing, but unfortunately AWS doesn't play like that.
I'll be in the market for a new email provider around Christmas. I'll let the competition fight it out for several months. I don't think looking for a replacement on the deprecation announcement day is good timing. I already see zoho and friends with marketing materials about this.
