Generally speaking, the people that work in the U.S. Government are not evil.

Generally speaking, the people that work in large corporations are not evil.

Generally speaking, the U.S. Government and corporate machines are generally evil which means concentrated power.

The character of a country is mostly defined by those who have power either nationally or locally. The value of democracy is that, if well implemented, those in power reflect proportionately the wishes of the whole nation. Sadly it rarely happens.
"A whole civilization will die tonight".

Has any American president expressed such a thing in words before? Even considering the terrible things that country has done in the past, revelling in death and misery in this way is a new low.
