Ask HN: Any advice on 'hacking' Ford lightning?

Hey HN. I seem to have stumbled upon an affordable EV and I was wondering if anyone here has had an experience with Ford Lightning? Can you mess with it the same way you can with some Mazdas? Do they require custom mods? What are your experiences?
