Try this: If there are more than n articles using a keyword add it to the filter list and permanently get rid of all headlines that contain the word. If everyone suddenly starts talking about pokemon no more pokemon headlines - ever.

This produces a refreshing news website that doesn't beg you to immediately close the tab.
