I think it's an interesting POV. Idk much about the child raising bit but there is definitely a childish joy in learning a language, reading your first book, understanding the lyrics of a song for the first time, are indeed, joyful.

With my older daughter, we used DVD with movies with audio and subtitles in different languages. Now the equivalent is Netflix.
