Transhumanists "predict" that society will do things they like. In practice, normal people rarely share their goals and delusions, such as this one about merging with machines or designing our offspring.
The prior commenter mentioned it was written nine years ago, which just solidifies my point about the unreality of such predictions.
To me it's not about the unreality, it's about the *who* making the prediction and the position that they've found themselves in today to possibly effect that change.
