Isn't self-censorship a curse? I'm inclined to reply with a big yawn; but you can never underestimate the tug of sentimentality of an unexperienced past for other people. Is this bloke a has-been, or a never-wuz; and trying desperately to cash in on the "I'm doing AI" boom?
