Pipeline as Code by Manning, is it a good book?

I want to get started hands on with Jenkins. Read this book but cannot seem to learn anything. The order is all over the place. Is this not a good book from Manning? Amazon reviews are all over the place claiming this to be the best thing in the world.

I am learning Jenkins. As I am based in Nepal where we do legacy support work only.
