Ask HN: Are Anthropic, OpenAI the last software startups?

There is an ongoing discourse that the model labs will commoditise software to a point every business will build their custom internal software instead of paying a subscription fee to a third party vendor. Apparently SaaS is dead or maybe SaaS margins are dead.

Are there real signs of this outside of the wall street sentiment?
