Ask HN: Is there any project running Python/Ruby on a FPGA?

I notice recently a post of a guy that want to create a OS, and I thought that basically we're stick to old hardware designs, is there a way to run Python/Ruby/etc in FPGA and built a new OS and computer architecture based on it?
