Ask HN: How do you handle browser tab overload?

Do you mean overload to your senses? I always close most of my tabs. My policy is that if you don't bookmark, you don't care enough. Same goes for my local data. If I don't remember what's on my disk, or haven't backed it up periodically, I don't care about what's on it.
