Ask HN: SaaS using IAP instead of payment merchant?

Would using in-app purchases to sign up to a chosen tier of a package instead of Stripe, PayPal etc be accepted by users?

I was thinking using IAP's could help avoid the kind of issues with PayPal and also streamline the UX.

What does HN think?
