I saw this post[0] by someone asking about favourite lobsters comment and the relevant discussion there on lobsters and I am curious about the same but for hackernews.

So, what are your favourite hackernews comments/quotes?

You can get this answer for any user by looking at their profile - there is a 'favorite' link at the bottom, and then a 'comments' link at the top of the favorites page.

And if you don't have specific user you want to look at, you can look at the top 100 users here: https://news.ycombinator.com/leaders

You can also find the recent "best comments" here: https://news.ycombinator.com/bestcomments

Would be great if there were ways to see how many times a comment has been favorited, or a user's most favorited comments (by other people.) Might not sit well with site philosophy though - could end up too competitive or gamed.
i like it when they give a link to a paywalled news article. because journalists should work for free.
I liked this comment about Ulbricht.

"It seems they unethically sentenced him for crimes he was not even ever charged with." full comment https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42794163

I'd expect this happens a lot in any "justice system" whose main goal is to funnel-in slave prison labor by way of sophistic or shallow rulings - and witch hunts to satisfy the reptilian brain.

The whole comment deserves a look alluding to the harm reduction hypothesis.
