Ask HN: How do I capture the right audience and find the product market fit

I am building a product for improving developer efficiency and I am 2 months into it and have a working prototype, how do I get feedback from the right users who are in need of such a tool? What are your suggestions?

You could try ProductHunt, or you could show the Hacker News for feedback.

For most people, they never get any feedback from these platforms anymore.. there are just SO MANY PH and HN launches everyday.. that unless you pay some big PH hunter, or are a part of YC (for HN launch help), your post will just get ignored.

If you are-I bet you can stand on the streets of SOMA with a sign asking for feedback

Not in SF, so no SOMA sign for me. I'll just keep yelling into Reddit and hope the algorithm mistakes it for foot traffic.
