if I am understanding him correctly (and his math is correct) a YEAR's worth of ChatGPT queries is about equal to the waste/damage of a 20 mile car drive

(but there might be a problem if a BILLION people start making 20 mile car drives?)

also some good general explanations from him in that video how datacenters are cooled and how they actually use water

This was posted last November. Discourse around this particular topic has somehow gotten worse since then.
