High quality, charming article. The Hikaru defeat mentions made me chuckle. One possibility I think you’ve omitted is that they slopped the puzzles pretty hard

On the chess app front I love Noctie.ai. Don’t be put off by the AI bit. It’s a we’ll crafted app with both short form puzzles, and longer scenarios

Worth noting that after playing an incredibly irritatingly slow game of chess, Noctie will ask for 14 Euros a month to carry on playing!

odd you would spend so long researching this, yet choose not to write it yourself. The LLM tone is tacky and distracting.
