I became weary of furiously tabbing through Claude and Codex sessions, so I put Claude to work building a local-only console that gives a host of useful information about what's going on in your terminal-based sessions, and a best effort guess at what's up in your Claude and ChatGPT apps. There's a macOS and Windows version, each of which include a menubar/taskbar helper and a local webapp. Give it a try?
