Why are there no quadruped 'wheelchairs'? (twitter.com)

We are making such fast progress in robotics but we still struggle to build really useful tools for people who have disabilities.

Why is this? Is it because it’s really hard from a regulatory or liability perspective? Or, is it a market size thing? Curious if anyone has analyzed this or has experienced based opinions.

A single search reveals that there are in fact multiple models that climb curbs and stairs.

I couldn’t help but think of Nute Gunray’s walking throne in The Phantom Menace.
