half of women leave the technology field by age 35
> The number one reason women leave the field is a lack of confidence, or imposter syndrome,

> “They have a computer science degree.."

Haven't we been saying for a long time that a degree is not a sign of competence?

I am a woman with a grad degree in CS. I left the field because I was BORED. The field was full of stuffy types who were only interested in money. It still is.
Half of women leave by age 35.

How many men leave by age 35? Whats the baseline? Why doesn’t the article state this? Is 50% low?

Programming is a horrible job that most ppl hate. Women get an option to do photography while husbands play the role of soulless breadwinner. How many of us fantize about 'leaving' every day but have mouths to feed .

No one ( women or men) will admit to eat, love ,pray while their partners give them health insurance and stable income being a corporate drone.

Anyways this article doesnt really answer "why" despite the title.
