Website reporting:

Claude is temporarily unavailable. We’re working on it — try again in a moment.

The desktop app shows:

Unable to load usage limits. Please try again later.

Claude Code shows:

You've hit your monthly spend limit.

Can confirm. I keep getting an error "Authentication service was unavailable. You can try again." However, logging out and trying to log in I just get the same issue.
Auth issue , not connecting CLaude desktop App
This is why I'm local first. Local models are getting pretty capable for most tasks. I just worry AI companies are colluding to make hardware more expensive and force everyone on the cloud, but then this stuff will happen and worse.
Same. I am here in California, and I get the same "Authentication service was unavailable." Then I get redirected to a page that shows "Claude is temporarily unavailable."
facing same issue but my claude code is working fine so able to work on my codebase just cant use any connectors
Claude Code works for me (Opus 5).
facing same issue but able to work on my codebase via claude code just not able to use any connectors
Cowork on Claude desktop app seems to be working fine. Looks like its just web?

Yeap, all Oauth sessions got kicked and can't get back in. Welp, switching to Deepseek V4 Flash 0731 via OpenRouter.

Stoked that AI is in a place we have legitimate options available!

meta: there seems to be a lot of... "spam"? in this thread?

I'm paranoid enough to have the thought that it's shills trying to use HN's "hotness" downranking against negative publicity...

... maybe I'm too paranoid, but it feels like this outage has a lot more totally useless comments than normal.

I mean, there are some egregious examples.

"oh noo", twice.

"Hello!", being another..

Along with one new account asking "which local LLM is better"... twice.

how long this has been going on? mine says Claude is temporarily unavailable?
