To far. These people should be arrested.
You're right, buying up the politicians, lying on their applications, the datacenter bros are the worst.
If open carry protests are okay (which, as a nation, we've decided they absolutely are), I don't see how this is a problem. A bunch of dudes protesting with rifles and plate carriers is a lot more of a threat than a guillotine (which probably isn't even functional.)

Not even close. While water usage and ambient temperature rise might be overblown, noise pollution and electrical grid strain are very much real.
You must live in a place where the electricity bill “service charges” haven’t been raised as a cause of new data centers. In Houston, the service charges have gone up 50 percent in the last 2 years. My bill in the summer jumped from $200 a month to $300.
Something in like 90% cases the bills went down. Datacenters are perfect power users.

Prices have been going up for years because of net metering. In california apparently its first year when prices didn’t go up!
