It's really fascinating to watch this and "Stop Killing Games" just keep on snowballing into a demand for consumers to have at least some rights.

People talk a great game online, and then they go and buy what they were always going to buy. I'm sure at some point after GTA 6 comes out we'll all be horrified to realize that once again the most popular game in the world was made by wringing people dry through crunch. People will feel good about it after the initial outrage, will swear to do better, and then won't.

These things are great for Youtube videos and Substack blogs, Change.org petitions and little else.

They would make more progress if they separated “give consumers the rights they deserve” from “save obsolete media”.
