understanding more of animal communication would be cool.

I'm most interesting in communication amongst fungi and amongst plants and especially amongst fungi & plants.

Plant intelligence is so amazing. There is no evidence for it but I like to imagine trees are a huge mass of neural tissue that is existing and possibly thinking.
They are even cooler than that. Trees in a forest are connected through mycellium networks, which are said to have more connections underground than neurons in your brain. They showed if one tree was environmentally stresses it would signal to nearby trees through this network and other trees respond by closing up shop until the threat has resolved.
First thing we should say to them: "We hope this message finds you well, We are sorry, also we would like to talk to you about your extended insurance..."
