Inspired by the thread about typ.ing [0] and people talking about their setup, I wondered what HN users are using for their daily driver keyboard.

Please list the model, switches, keycaps, layout and any other details you think relevant.

My current daily driver is a Logitech MX Keys. I don't love it honestly but it's not bad.

Kinesis Advantage360 Pro (ZMK). Not my favourite of all time, but it did help me immensely with wrist pain

Home: Das Keyboard 4 Utimate (Cherry MX brown, unlabeled keys)

Work: Many and I could change them all every day if I wanted to (ewaste recycling company), but main desktop has a Royal Kludge S108 Typewriter.

ErgoDox EZ with brown switches. It took a (long) while to get used to, but far more comfortable to type on long-term IMO

I also use a Kensington trackball mouse

Home made Corne. Have many of them including low profile BT one. All of them 5 columns per side.

Keychron K3 Pro, red switches, RGB, stock keycaps. I find low-profile more comfortable for my hands but has enough key travel it feels right. It's close enough to the MacBook layout that it isn't too hard to switch back and forth when I'm out with the laptop.

I type with the keyboard on my lap so a split design didn't work for me, hence creating this handwired contraption.

I use the Dvorak layout and have two alternate layers. In the number layer, the top row is punctuation, home row is numbers, and bottom row spilling into the thumb cluster is F keys). The other utility layer has mouse keys and media control.

Keyswitches: Box Navy

Caps: Polycarbonate DCS alphas R1-R3-R4, DSA R3 for the tall thumb caps, G20 for the low thumb caps.

A Goldtouch KFK-E88YB which is a split keyboard with adjustable angle. Made around the year 2003.

I strongly prefer it over a flat keyboard, I have each side at about a 23 degree angle to the desk.

I'v worn the bumps off the F and J keys, which I need to get my fingers in position without looking down.

Kinesis Advantage with brown switches. Some of the switches are starting to double input, and sometimes a modifier key gets stuck. Can't complain though, it's about to turn 18 years old soon.

A bog-standard wired 104 key Kensington M01181 I picked up used for $5 at an electronics recycler. It's been my daily driver for about 7(?) years now.

Daily driver is a Svalboard. Before that, there was a Rolio, Corne-ish Zen, Moonlander, Ergodox EZ. All were great. I tried to make the MoErgo Glove 80 and a Characorder Master Forge work, but without sufficient success. For 'thinking not typing' Svalboard takes the biscuit. I use tap-dance, with 1 extra momentary layer for macros.

At home, a tenkeyless GMMK with box white switches, and at work and on the go, I use a Redragon K649 Pro, which has some custom switches for their clear keyboards, but it's a smooth linear that feels and sounds nice. The redragon has 2.4 and Bluetooth and wired, I use it on Bluetooth most of the time, and switch to 2.4 if it's a device I'm only hooking up to once.
