Interesting research. The connection between flooding events and seismic activity is well-documented in paleoseismology. Would be interesting to see if this pattern holds for other fault systems.
I’m really worried about El Niño and the flooding that could happen this year in Southern California filling up the salt and sea and causing a new earthquake.
