I built gangbid.lol in about 45 minutes as a small experiment.

Now I'm wondering whether I should spend hours trying to get people to use it, or just move on and build something else.

This feels like a common trap with small projects: building is so cheap that it's tempting to keep building instead of learning how to distribute.

How do you guys decide when a tiny project deserves more time?

For reference: https://gangbid.lol

The majority of the side projects I do just because it's fun to work on something; if people actually use it then great, but if not, they will just wait until someone eventually comes in. With this approach, it's not “marketing”, it's just working on a hobby project, which, besides the coding, may include marketing activities, SEO and whatnot.
Thanks, that's a good perspective. I like the idea of treating marketing as just another part of working on the project, rather than a separate task.
