I don’t care about a limit on net worth. I just want brutal punishment for corruption and other abuses of power.

Anything more gets taxed 100% and redistributed.

Somewhere on the order of $25M, adjustable for inflation. Enough to live darn comfortably off the interest for one’s entire life even in a mediocre stock market, and to leave a heck of a legacy for one’s dependents. Not enough to single-handedly change the course of an entire democracy just by throwing money around.

Everything above 999 goes to the government. In return the would-have-been a billionare gets their name on a park. Hopefully that gets 999ers to care for their parks as they are the only symbol of status
