Uberexits Nigeria switching of service mid rides (twitter.com)

Today Uber exited the Nigerian market. What's news worthy is the announcement was abrupt and service stopped immediately mid day Nigeria. Passengers were mid rode when it happened. I'm not sure if this has happened anywhere else.
