IMO headline is misleading because it implies OpenAI is being petty, but in this case the cut off is extremely understandable from a business and legal perspective.
Elon seems to be as flamboyant as always but I don't know what's gotten into him, he seems more disagreeable than ever.

"Disagreeable" is an euphemism. He seems to have embraced whatever core values he had. His incursion into politics and associations with far right, neo nazi and similar movements is quickly making him a person non grata. Americans seem to still like him judging by HN commentary.
