Hugging Face is too important to fall into Nvidia's hands (theregister.com)

I already got a working Xet server with fully efficient `hf upload/hf download` functionality. I think I don't need much honestly than to mirror/proxy all the models and datasets I need and get some simple repo cloes to exist.

If there's interest I'll post an article on how to not let ONE company keep access to models.

It feels like end-times. I'd like to help with archiving. Any recommendation of set of files to backup while still possible and huggingface not all 'cucked'
