Ask HN: Code review of AI output, review what?

3 points by s3arch ↗ HN
If AI is supposed to be doing a better job at coding, then what are humans reviewing in it? I don't understand why I need to spend extra time and effort just to read code that humans aren't supposed to write.

I feel this is some sort of scam in the AI industry telling us to do code reviews.

Either write the code yourself or just pass all the AI code.

Please help me understand.

We are so cooked.
Why are you employed at all? AI is now capable of prompting itself so you really shouldn’t have a job working with AI.
humans are still better at coding, AI is just faster and cheaper, not better. the cheap code is still cheap, and we need real engineers to review it still to convert it to high quality code.
For now, we're still in the loop - even the best models often can overcomplicate things or reinvent the wheel and quick look at the diff can help spot some fundamental issues
