NPM audit service is down while NPM status page reports otherwise (github.com)

Yup, npm install takes forever

There's been an ongoing service disruption according to https://downdetector.com/status/npm/

Into your ~/.npmrc:

  audit=false
  fund=false

Yep, getting a 503 service unavailable when trying to npm audit. And of course their status page is green.

Crazy how even npm doesn't run their own tools to test uptime.
