Seriously, why does it matter whether we label it that way? With or without the G, these systems can do what they can do either way.
If it was some agreed upon term, there would be a point to debate, some consequence to getting it wrong, some risk of misleading with the wrong label. But AGI so undefined that I'm not sure you gain anything from defining it.
It's like you have an empty word and you're looking to make it less empty so people can get upset about it.
I might be wrong, but as far as I know, the definition of AGI is still evolving and remains somewhat ambiguous.
My idea of AGI is a system that can make novel discoveries, invent new mathematics and physics, solve Millennium Prize level problems, and think originally.
Perhaps a better definition would be a system that can systematically tackle and solve problems from lists such as the following:
