Thoughts on Twitterviewer.net?

Now that Nitter, XCancel, and Twitterwebviewer are gone, it seems to be the best website like that still around.

One thing (which some people don’t seem to realize) is that you have to go to advanced search on the website to search by term rather than search by profile. On your phone, you have to use the 3 dots on the top left to open the menu that has advanced search. Once you figure that out, I don’t really find it that complicated to use.

Twitterviewer does have a lot of ads, but then again X itself has a lot of ads too.

If you would like a 3rd party x.com web viewer to survive, probably best to not call attention to it atm.
Well, it already ranks pretty highly in Google search results, so it’s unlikely that Elon’s lawyers haven’t heard of the website.

It has some page where it almost goes out of its way to say that it doesn’t bypass security measures like Nitter and XCancel supposedly did. So Elon might not have even a fig leaf of a legal argument to take it down like he did with the other websites.

Alternately it might be based in some country like China where Musk would have little ability to file a lawsuit.

It’s also possible that Twitterviewer is just flat out disobeying cease and desist letters from Musk, which nitter and xcancel weren’t willing to risk.

In any case, I find it unlikely that Musk hasn’t heard of Twitterviewer.
