Show HN: Send flowers from your AI agent and make your mum happy

Hi,

I have created an MCP for AI agents to send flowers for your mum’s birthday, for a great customer who just renewed his contract or what ever you can think of!

I created this after working on a family AI assistant (hermo.ai) which desperately needed to trigger something tangible - like a flower delivery.

You can send flowers without having to create an account to make it easy to get started.

Currently you can send one type of bouquet in the USA ($100), UK(£100), Germany(€100), Switzerland and Italy.

Link to the new service is here: https://preznt.net

The goal of this service is to have AI agents send flowers. It’s pretty simple.

I have lots of ideas how to extend and order all sorts of things directly from an MCP, like chocolates, gift boxes, etc.

Let me know what you think! I'd really like some feedback.

Fabian

Let me know what you think!
I think it sucks. What matters is actual memory of loved ones not some slop shop automating it.
Hi weezing - thanks for your feedback! It might not be the right thing for you, but as I wrote in other comments - flowers will bring joy to people no matter what technical mechanism was involved.
Is this satire?
Thanks for the feedback. Definitely worded a bit drastic. And no, it’s not satire. But if you really disagree-please tell your friends how stupid this service is - then more people can form an opinion by themselves. I’m would also say that sending flowers is not souless at all. I will be adding some delivery videos and photos soon. I will work on it to improve the UI.
Would you value a gift made by someone you know but through a bot? Without the person even knowing what happened, and for them it's nothing more than a charge on their credit card? Sending flowers is not a soulless act, but automating demonstrations of affection is. Not even the gift may matter, but just the human intention and awareness. I'd never recommend this "service" to my friends obviously. Nobody needs more p zombies in the world.
Imagine you're an old lady receiving a bouquet of flowers for your birthday - or a lonely person, or someone who just lost a family member - the attention will be real when they receive flowers. "someone" must have add "some" information to a computer so that it "knows" that there is a birthday.

What about ordering a gift to be delivered from any gift-delivery website? Is that soulless because it was done over the internet? It's an interesting philosophical question. Judging by my actual experience ordering flowers online, the answer is people still appreciate it.

I find that this service allows people go make other people happy. But it seems it's not for everyone - that's fine.

However, if you DM me - I'll use my MCP to send flowers to you - to prove you that receiving flowers is awesome - independently of which technological mechanism was involved in arranging the order. If your country is not supported, I'll try to add it.

Don't take things on the internet too serious.

I’m not sure why people are getting so worked up about this. Ordering flowers for someone abroad can be surprisingly difficult. After staying with someone in the US, I tried to send them flowers as a thank-you once I was back in the UK. For some reason, it was an absolute pain. If this makes that easier, great.

I also doubt my mum (or anyone else I’m buying flowers for) would care whether I ordered through a website or asked a bot to help. The thoughtful part is remembering them and deciding to send flowers. I’m not sure anyone yearns for me to personally hunt down a website and type in my credit card details.

And people already love flower subscriptions. Aren’t those essentially automated flowers?

Thank you for the support! I'm fully with you! Is there any feedback you have?
Ohh i actually love this! I once tried to order flowers for my mom’s birthday in Kazakhstan- and I had to jump through hoops and in addition to Soviet style checkout experience for some reason they needed also to WhatsApp me. A nice thought that should have been 1 click checkout turned into 45 min time drain. Yeah my mom got the flowers but I am not doing it again. Ever…. But now why not? Same as I buy gifts to my friends on Amazon and don’t spend my time shopping around in a mall - instead have everything optimized for the outcome. I love it!
I'm so happy to hear that you like the idea! Will need to add !
