A group of hindi visitors created a trouble by requiring the removal of female staff during his visit to the tower. The people at charge accepted, instead to stand their ground. Employees started a strike on protest for several days. As stupid as it sounds.
Just because you are a little "special" and unable to see women as equals, shouldn't have the right to remove every woman from a public monument in France. French laws forbid to block women from the use of public space, and to be discriminated at work.
This is just another test for boundaries. The rights of those women were attacked. The people at charge had most probably commit a crime when they made the tower "only for men" and any money received for it should be returned. New laws should forbid directly the use of public European monuments by any men claiming that can't stand the presence of women on the same place.

TL;DR: if you tolerate intolerance in a tolerant society, intolerant people will exploit it and take over
