Show HN: Yamaha TDM 850 3vd 1993 Atlas (made with Astra) (punkx.org)

I recently bought 1993 TDM 850 and I love it, but its an old bike and it needed some TLC, I bought the haynes manual and the found the partlist and used Astra to create an interactive atlas.

I am working on the front forks now to change the bushings and seals, and I dont think I would've been able to do it without the interactive visualization, the partlist was not detailed enough and the manual was too prescriptive.

It gaslit me few times, so I had to use some common sense (like this spring can not be pushing this piece, stop trying to convince me it does), but over all it was a major help.

If you have an old machine, car, tractor, commodore64 etc, that is well documented, using Astra you can make amazing interface to see into it. It feels like early stages of the tooling Tony Stark had while creating Badassium :)

I can only imagine what that would be with AR and models baked into hardware at 10 watts and 15000 tokens per second.
