Which would you prefer: an iPhone Duo, or an iPhone 18 Pro plus an iPad mini?

I think the 2 device strategy might be a better bet:

$100 cheaper (assuming an ipad mini 256gb wifi)

much more battery life

much more storage at the base SKUs - you get 512 locally, albeit in 2 buckets.

You can use both screens simultaneously

iPadOS despite limitations is still better for multitasking.

You get the triple camera system.

Contra:

You give up pocketability - but I generally wear a sports jacket, and the mini would fit in the jacket pocket.

What do people think - one device or two?

FYI I read somewhere that the reason for duo was to capture an entirely different market from average comsumer. It was to meet the needs of physical technicians who need to climb electric poles etc and need to also have handy a device ( typically mini ) to look up CAD designs etc. as they work in the field. They would prefer to carry one device . This may apply to others as well. For me personally a phone and a laptop meet my needs being a desk bound software-only SME .

iPhone Uno with single panel narrow display pocketability feel, and with option to plus up to iPhone Duo and dynamically switch everyday.

Although there may be many problems with iphone duo

But this is the only option for an iOS device that can replace tablets and mobile phones.
