I worked for one of the "big 7"* OEMs many years ago. The OEM I worked for had recently been sued over people burning themselves with p4 era celerons (temp of about 45,000°C). We were told even using the word " laptop" for a "notebook" was a fixable offense.

I guess my point is that laptop OEMS have known for decades that their product can damage human tissue. Not sure if there's any needed remedy. I just use a laptop bench thing when I use it on my lap.

* I think several are dead, like Compaq and Gateway.
