Show HN: Spellfort – voice-controlled games for the edge of sleep (spellfort.gg)

My wife and I have long been fans of audio-only games. On Google Assistant and Alexa we played Animal of the Day, Song Quiz, Castle Master, and many others. Drifting into sleep inside these adventures became our tradition – no screens, just our imaginations. Then Google shut the games down, and Alexa's constant upselling took the fun out of what was left. We kept hoping they'd come back. They didn't.

Then one day we tried ChatGPT's new voice mode. We described the kind of game we wanted, and within minutes it improvised something that felt like ours. No sound effects, a bit unpredictable, but there was enough magic to nudge us in the right direction. We spent evenings brainstorming games. Our TV time became browsing sound-effect catalogues. My wife learned to vibe code and built the first prototype. Piece by piece we built something we now use every night before sleep, just like before.

Whether you're new to this or you miss the originals, here's our take on interactive audio games and stories.
