I read this from Amazon CTO’s feed. It feels to me as the kool-aid driven hype driven version of software engineering. Is it the new normal? Are people at FAANG just accepting blindly opaque overengineered software as a thing now?

Too many people in leadership confuse “more” with “better”. AI promises more, so we must use it more.

Infact AI is going to accelerate the decline of these organizations unless judicious application is adopted.
