Pushie lets you send notifications to yourself from anywhere. Create an account, claim a username, and start pushing to every device you are signed in on with a single HTTP request.

No app or SDK to install. No complex authentication. Just a HTTP POST request with your message.

How do they plan to keep it free? Ads?

I am the maker of this service. The idea is to stay lean so that I can offer it free.

One confirmation and one suggestion...

Confirming: The Privacy Policy details that all notification data is deleted within 24 hours... Does this include any additional logging or analytics data?

Suggestion: I like the "Where can I use this?" section. I would suggest adding a couple of practical examples around the already provided list of ideas.

Thanks for the suggestion, will add more detail to the "Where can I use this?" section. Also, the additional logging does not log the messages, the log data gets cleared in 7 days. Either way I will add the details in the privacy policy.

The naming is... interesting. If the CI/CD pipeline fails, you get a pushie.

Jokes aside, the tool looks very convenient. I have the CI/CD use case in mind. Having a GH actions template would be nice.

Have you considered publishing the code? Some people will certainly be reluctant to use the platform without seeing what it actually does with their logs, which may contain sensitive data.

I have not yet published the code. But will do that soon as it needs to be cleaned up a bit.

Not much difference. Only thing I can think of is ntfy does not have web push, it requires you to install android app or ios app to receive push notifications. For web it requires you to keep to tab open to receive the push notification.

I solved this by writing a trivial Node http server Telegram bot that accepts messages on root endpoint and sends them as bot messages. 100LOC.

Of course the difference is that it's not SaaS and you have to host it somewhere.

you can use CF function to FCM and get all notification direct to your phone, all for free
