I wish the likes of Inkscape had a SMIL feature (or if I had a magic want I'd revive KDE's Karbon to be able to do this). Doing SMIL animations "by hand" is rather tricky and as far as I know there's no comprehensive tool to do this - i.e. something that fully covers both SVG and SMIL.
yeah... i dunno why SMIL doesn't get much love. The only reason why I learned about this I was looking at features chrome deprecated over the years and came across this thread https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/blink-dev/c/5o0yi...... they wanted to kill it.
