The President and Republicans resoundingly say NO.

As long as a big chunk of the population aligns with self-interest, corruption & devaluing ethics, they will continue to vote for similar people.

The end result is a long civic lesson in why virtues, strong ethics and trust are all invaluable as foundations of a prosperous society. Hard times create strong men, as they like to say.

It is rarely those in power that seek to reduce the power they have. I would support an amendment that the President may not pardon himself, his immediate family, or anyone acting on behalf of their administration.
