The Pain Axis: LLMs Represent Self-Directed Harm and Act to Relieve It (arxiv.org)

When I look up the word “pain” in a thesaurus I also get back a bunch of words related to pain. Is the book in pain!? Maybe we should run some undergraduate psychology studies on it.
