Python Enhancement Proposal 824: None-coalescing operators (peps.python.org)

I'm all in for the "just use `x = x if x is not None else def` objection. This is not a needed feature, it does nothing and introduces more implicit complexity instead of linearity, and is less readable. ?? Is also an alarming sign, which catches more attention than it should
