The train to the airport costing a whopping £26 is so silly.
I'm glad that the FEX train to BER does not pull any such shenanigans, it's just a normal regional train and if you want to take it to the center you pay 5€ for a single ABC ticket as you would for the S-Bahn.
Short duration and room for luggage both wins for tourists. Trying to wedge lots of luggage on the tube isn’t fun. Does the Elizabeth line have more room for bags? Or do they just more taxi and uber going to/from the airport?
