AI Hasn't Replaced Interpreters but It Has Degraded Their Working Conditions (capitalandmain.com)

This is my real employment-related genAI fear. Not that there will be no jobs, but that the jobs are going to suck a lot more.

I guess maybe hasn't replaced theselegally mandated interpreters (and rightly so), but I can bet people who never had interpreters are learning use the iphone translate app.
