Zelenskyy won’t fold so he needs someone willing to. Feels like the negotiated Russian diesel agreement was to make it seem like their infrastructure is critical to global diesel supply to strong arm a deal.
Politico says Trump's diesel deal "is actually a relative pittance compared to what would be needed to meaningfully bring prices down, market analysts said."
There are also questions of how much more diesel Russia can ship out given that Ukraine has already destroyed a large number of that country’s fuel refineries. This is now the third time Trump has announced plans he said would cut diesel prices down to size but that upon closer look don't live up to the hype. More diesel flooding the market from European allies? [But no]. Allowing freight carriers to use tax-extempt "dyed diesel" that farmers already have access to? A great, big meh. Overall, the past few weeks have shown "the White House flailing across all manner of desperate measures" to bring down prices, Rory Johnston, oil analyst at analyst firm Commodity Context, wrote yesterday.
Downvoted? What a surprise. Zelenskyy and Putin are virtually indistinguishable. Just two dictators trying to get the upper hand on the other. The west Defending Zelenskyy is reprehensible.
Yeah, not really. Zelensky did not invade a neighboring country to mass slaughter its inhabitants. If this is your position you are either so out of touch that you can be safely disregarded, willfully ignorant or shill for putin.
So you deny Zelenskyy is a dictator? Or that Obama greenlighted Russia’s invasion of Crimea in 2014? Or that Zelenskyy has stolen or funneled back to his western cronies, billions of dollars? Or that he had the Bidens in his back pocket? Or that Zelenskyy suspended elections in 2022 and declared martial law? Do your homework before accusing me of being out of touch. Backing Zelenskyy allows democrats and other gullible people to keep beating the Trump-Putin canard. And that is laughable.
Well, Ukraine sure wasn't getting any patriots even before this, mostly Europe supporting Ukraine now, privately, the US has become irrelevant to Zelensky now, although publically he still encourages and hopes for support. Trump is just sucking up to Putin to try to get Putin to break off supporting Iran. News just about the time the war with Iran began was that Russia had a new, upgraded shoulder fired anti-air missle, and Iran promised $1 billion for a major cache of them.

Oh that sweet summer child.
That's not gonna happen.
Has it? Intelligence sharing, Starlink usage, etc., doesn't seem irrelevant at all.
